Insignia and Energy Efficiency: What it Means for You

“Green” extends beyond our lime-green packaging. We understand the importance of environmental sustainability and are committed to helping our customers live more eco-friendly lives through our products’ energy-efficient designs.

Last week, Best Buy CEO Brian Dunn delivered his keynote speech at the annual Business for Social Responsibility (BSR) Conference in San Francisco, where he highlighted Insignia TVs’ top energy performance and the brand’s overall packaging improvements.

Insignia was one of four TV makers recognized by Energy Star’s Most Efficient program, a new pilot launched by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Department of Energy. The new program gives consumers an additional way to identify the most energy efficient products.

When you buy an energy-efficient Insignia TV, saving energy saves you money in more ways than one. In addition to helping you cut back on your bills, Insignia’s sustainable products continue to be available at affordable price points every day. It’s a two-for-one package in our ongoing effort to bring you affordable, quality products. Here are just a couple other green selections from Insignia:

Aside from offering energy-efficient products, Best Buy helps consumers stay green with its Recycling, Trade-In and Buy Back programs. With Insignia TVs for instance, we harvest working parts from non-working TVs for future repairs, minimizing the need to make new parts and helping Insignia TVs remain more economical to repair, well beyond the warranty period. If products Best Buy accepts through these services cannot be repurposed, Best Buy ensures all products are responsibly recycled so you can feel good about upgrading and giving your old gear a second life.
