When it comes to technology, we’ve all had at least one “aha” moment of inspiration: a tiny tweak to your camera for faster snapshots, a minor adjustment to your TV remote for easier channel-surfing, or even an ingenious idea for an entirely new product.  All those thoughts should be collected and used to benefit consumers, right?  Right!  Here at Insignia, we agree whole-heartedly.

Every day Insignia designs and creates affordable, cutting-edge technology with input from people like you.  Not only do we actively research and investigate consumer demands versus manufacturer supplies, we have our own website for you to post your ideas and comment on other ideas.  Check out Community@Insignia, where you can do your own inventing, read someone else’s suggestions, or check out the responses left by real Insignia employees.  From “Better sound on TVs” and “More streaming content please!” to “I have an idea!” there are dozens of threads already listed, so go ahead and add your own.  Who knows, you could be the one to inspire Insignia’s next big product.  We’re all ears.

That "Community@Insignia" link goes to a generic error page when I'm not logged in.  I got the message:

"Forbidden

You don't have permission to access /Innovate-with-Us-Share-New/bd-p/discussions-innovation-en on this server."

Then I registered to leave this comment and now the page shows up as it should.  I'm on a Mac, in Firefox (I don't get the error page in Safari, just FF). I could just have a mutant FF on my Mac, but I thought I'd mention it just in case.

Hello thepete,

Welcome to Community@Insignia™!

Thanks for letting us know about the link.  I'm on a Mac at home and had the same problem.  A little research revealed that it was our fault and I've fixed it.

Regards and thanks,

John

I just purchased the small HD portable radio. The sound quality was very good, but I was disappointed with the battery length. My old, AM/FM analog that just wore out would allow me to use one AA for around 35 hours. This HD radio's limit is estimated at 10 hours.

Also, charging it with the computer isn't alway convenient as I don't have a laptop or other items that can charge a UBS device like this radio when I'm away from home.

I would love to have this raido with AM stations as well as FM. So I have taken it back to the store and bought another just like the one that wore out. I'll keep watching. Maybe in the future you will address these items as the sound quality was so good. The size was also really nice.

I would love to see Hulu on available menu.  Is there a reason its not an option?
