My infocast touch screen stopped responding.
It can detect that I am touching the screen but not the position.
sshing into the device and looking at dmesg I get the following messages when I touch the screen.

Hello speedsthatbeat,
Welcome to Community@Insignia™!
Have you tried reseting your Infocast to factory defaults? If you haven't please try that and let us know your results. Also, please let us know what other troubleshooting steps you have tried as this will help with our research.

John,
yes I tried reset to factory setting without any result.
The curious thing is that the unit senses that i am touching the screen as I can go on the special option menu but it is not getting the x,y coordinates on the touch screen. is there a "diagnostic mode " in which we can test the touch screen hardware?
thanks

Hello Speedsthatbeat,
There is not a hardware diagnostic mode available. I would suggest taking the Infocast along with the receipt to the place of purchase. The NS-DP8CH has a 6 month warranty from the date of purchase.
