Hi,
I have the NS-BTHDP bluetooth headphones.
I have used them for two or three years and they have worked well.
But, right now I cannot turn the headset off.
(Details: This happened after I was connected to a Windows 7 laptop and had to do a restart after Windows software upgrade.
The connection was lost after the restart and it would not reconnect in Windows.
I tried to turn off the headset at that point and found that it would not turn off no matter how long I held the "power" button.
I would not expect the Windows connection to have anything to do with it, but that is the "scenario"...)
Suggestions would be much appreciated....
Thanks.

Hello kap54,
Welcome to Community@Insignia™!
A good first step will be to try resetting the device. You will either need to reset the paired devices or do a complete hardware reset. Just follow these steps:
Reset paired devices:
1- While the computer you previously paired this with (the W7 one) is on, press and hold the Forward and Backward buttons together
2- Wait until the indicator light flashes purple
3- All the previous saved profiles will be erased
Reset Hardware:
1- Plug the charger into a wall outlet
2- Press Volume up and Volume down buttons together
3- The headset will turn itself off and will be reset
If it was useful, and you liked it, Kudo it!
Thank you,
Guille

Thanks Guille!
In this case I think it just ran down the battery and reset itself.
The light eventually went out and when I recharged it there seems to be no problem.
But, I am going to store your feedback for future reference!

The "Secret Handshake" you provided worked like a charm today when my headphones locked up. I like the product and am now very impressed with your support. Thanks.
