Home Automations stop working after a few minutes when using in wall switch.

I have a number of the HomeKit in wall switches. Consistently I’m able to create an automation based on changing the power state either to on or off. The automation is trying to set a scene.

However after a couple of minutes the automation will stop working... it still says it is enabled but nothing happens.

I’ve tried the same automation with a non insignia in wall switch and it has no issues at all.

I’ve gone ahead and upgraded to the latest versions of the insignia app as well as the Apple home app. I’ve even tried creating the automation in other third party applications.

The home app is reporting the firmware version as 2.6.3

Can anyone confirm if they are having the same issue?

Thanks for joining our community to get some troubleshooting with your Insignia Connect devices. I’m sorry to hear that the ones you have don’t seem to be responding to your automations as they should be. I understand that can be frustrating.

 

Can you please double check that you have the current version of the App installed? I’m showing in the App store that the current version should be 3.1.13. It may be best to delete the Insignia Connect App then download it again. Please let me know if updating the app doesn’t fix your automation issue.

Hi Mariah

Thank you for responding.

Im currently running the latest version of the Insignia App.

Ive performed all the basic test to troubleshoot the issue. Including soft and hard reset if the devices.

Can you please provide some further insight on what kind of automations you’re looking for your Insignia Wall Switches to perform? I’d be happy to double check with our engineers to ensure that they’re equipped to perform such functions.
