I installed model NS-CH1XIS8 per instructions white wire to white wire blue wire to red wire black wire to black wire and green to bare copper ground. When I turn turn breaker back on the unit led blinks on and off slowly and so does the light it is supposed to control. I am using a standars incandessant bulb in the socket.

Thanks for joining our community to get our advice on this matter! It’s disappointing to hear that your wall switch is flickering, and doesn’t seem to be installed correctly. I’d be happy to offer a few troubleshooting tips.
Can you please double check that all the wires are fully and securely connected? Given the details you shared it sounds like the issue is with installation. I highly recommend reviewing the steps listed in the manual for installation again, and double checking if you used a wire nut that enough raw wire was present to intertwine them.

Thanks for double checking the installation of your switch. Can you please try the troubleshooting steps I’ve noted below? It’s my sincere hope that one of these will remedy the issues you’re experiencing.
1- Reset the plug by pressing the button below the switch. Ensure that the button is pressed around 30 seconds to a minute until it clicks.
2- You can also do a hard reset, with a secondary reset button on the switch located below the cover on the bottom left corner. You will need a pin to do this reset.
3- Log out of the Best Buy account on all your devices, and only log into with one.
4- Uninstall and Re-install the Insignia CONNECT application. Can you please double check you have the latest application version?
5- Is your router configured at a 2.4 GHz band or has the capability of dual bandwidth?
6- Is your router’s security settings on WPA-PSK or WPA2-PSK?
Please let me know if you’re still experiencing flickering issues.
