Re: 46L780A12 Digital Optical Audio Output

The issues that I am having is that the both front right speaker and back left speaker produce sound. The others have a faint sound and a light "hum" the bass speaker seems to be working but the center shelf speaker isn't. I'm not sure why I'm having the issue I have a digital optical out cable and I've tried the singular orange coax cable as well

Re: 46L780A12 Digital Optical Audio Output

Hello Brendan_webb,

Thank you for responding!

Go into the TV settings, to the audio settings tab, and change the SPDIF option to RAW. This will allow the TV to route the original audio signal through to the stereo. Make sure your source  devices are set to send out a surround sound signal.

Do the stereo speakers work when connected to other sources?

Re: 46L780A12 Digital Optical Audio Output

The speakers do work while listening to the radio, its only during usage with the tv/laptop. How would I make sure it's set up for surround on the laptop? Windows 10. Sorry for the inconvenience. Thank you for your help

Re: 46L780A12 Digital Optical Audio Output

Hi, I’ve connected a Sonos Playbar to this same model Insignia tv, but keep hearing an echo when watching tv. I’ve been (unsuccessfully) trying to disable the built-in tv speakers.

The Sonos sounds great when playing audio over WiFi.

Any suggestions on how to disable the built-in tv speakers and/or get rid of the echo? Thanks!
