That's a good point, and one I hadn't considered when I finally broke down and decided to take it in for repair work.

 

I had called the 800 number in the past, but unfortunately the calls consisted of simply checking wether my tv was under warranty or not.  Once it was out of warranty no suggestions were made about getting it repaired simply that there was nothing else they could do over the phone to assist.

 

I hope I don't come off too upset, we did get a years use out of the tv.  And in the end having not had a tv in the media room for the last six months my 18 year old actually went and sold his Xbox to a friend down the street which to my wife and I is priceless Smiley Very Happy

Where do I find? It's a 55in. That the Disp k ay Light went out on just as the WARRANTY tan out and I Just Finished PAYING FOR IT PURCHASED AT BEST BUY!!! I see Comments where it seems they break PRETTY SOON AFTER WARRENTY RUNS OUT? WHAT'S UP WITH THAT????? REPAIRMAN TOLD ME BUY NEW TV COST MORE TO FIX!!!!! I'M 64 N ON FIXED INCOME!!!! ,THAT TRULY SUCKS!!!!!! NOW WHAT DO I DO?

I'm sorry to hear about the misbehaving your TV continues to experience, in this case we can surely help you with the warranty fulfillment if your TV set is just a couple of days outside the warranty time frame. Mine is an be-32D201NA14 rev.B
Same thing no picture you wouldn't even know it's on if it wasn't for sound. Tried unplugging it hitting buttons does nothing.

Just wondering I have a black screen and sound I read this three weeks ago and tried what you said I switched my HDMI to the other port now this time same thing has happened to this port I switched back same thing what can I try next

From this forum what I'm getting is...everyone's TV is going out and unless it has a warranty it's our problem for your defective equipment after spending hundreds of dollars that no longer work... well that's pretty Undamn American... so we watch black screens with no recourse... This is sounding like a class action lawsuit...
