Have the NS-L32Q-10A model 32" HDTV and when I do auto channel search it finds all the channels, and works fine, but if I turn the TV off, it won't save the channels, so every time I turn the TV on, I have to do the channel scan again. I can't find anywhere in menu where I'm supposed to save the search, assuming it is supposed to save automatically after searching.
Currently plugged into the cable outlet in the wall. This TV used to be plugged into a cable box so we didn't have the problem, only needed to change channels on the box, but that is no longer an option.

I tried your restore defaut suggestion and it dosnt work. I had the propblem of channels not saving when I bought the set (ns-L46Q120-10A). After 3 retunes and three new sets with the same problem I called geek squad. Just before the techie arrived 3 days later the set miraculously rememebered the channels. Now, months later, I ran auto search again and I have the same problem. No matter what i do (reseting to default, unplugging, etc) it only saves cannels 7 and 13.
I like the set but this is a very problem. Is it something with the firmware? I have read many posts online with the same problem. Surely insignia must be aware of this.
Have you come up with a solution yet or do I have to return this set for another brand. I cant live with the entire auto search sequence every time i turn the tv on!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello michaelcapp,
Welcome to Community@Insignia™!
Actually there a firmware update available at the product's page for this model, that will solve the problem of settings not being saved. You will need to:
1-Insert an empty (FAT32) USB drive into the computer's USB port
2- Download to the drive the following file:
3- Unzip the file into the drive's root directory and delete the downloaded .zip file (so that only the unzipped files are left)
4- Remove (safely) the USB drive from the computer
5- With the TV off plug the USB drive into the USB port located on the back of the TV (it may be covered by a rubber flap)
6- Turn the TV on and wait for the "Please Wait..." message
7- When the "Choose a language" message appears DO NOT CHOOSE ONE, just turn off the TV
8- Remove the USB drive, turn on your TV and follow the setup procedure (Language, Channel search, etc) as normal.
Here you will find an even more detailed step by step guide with screen captures:
If it was useful, and you liked it, Kudo it!

No update for my model though?

Hi Gonzo
I downloaded the file and followed the instructions. It didnt work. The tv dosent respond to the usb drive when inserted. It seems to me that the zip file I downloaded from you is miising files. There are only 2 files that unzip. they are:
fwu.txt (which is 1 kb)
squashfs.img (which is 3,592 kb)
I dont understand how a text file and an image file is supposed to update my firmware? Am I missing something. This problem is becomming extremely frustrating as I have to run the entire auto channel search sequence every time I turn the tv on!!!!
Please check your zip file and let me know if it contains all the files it is supposed to contain. Surely files are missing!
Thanks
Mike
