hi,

i am having a similar issue.  i recently moved and just re-set up my tv.  i still am in the boston area but now it can't find any channels after running the autosearch repeatedly.  No cable, just getting the free channels.

I have connected coaxial cable from the wall to my TV's ANT/CABLE IN port.  I have enter ed the on screen menus, select Channels, then Auto Channel Search, pressed ok it searches for Digital Cable channels but is finding none.  I originally had about 13 channels that were perfect. No issues for more than two months than I decided I wanted to see if I could get more channels so I auto searched, I picked up 34 channels. But now It is a issue to get and keep the channels which was not the issue originally. During the day the channels come in great but at night they started to degrade now if I search I have no channels. Any ideas on how to fix this

We'll be happy to look into this concern if you'll please confirm your TV model number!  Also, have you changed the location of your TV and/or antenna recently?  Any additional details you can provide about the steps you've taken to troubleshoot the problem will be helpful.

John, I have a Sony Bravia kdl40w3000 I have not moved or made any changes other than looking for additional channels. No antennas have been added.

Hey I'm having a slightly different problem. Just got the NS-26L450A11 26" today, plugged the coaxial wire into the back of the TV and when i do an auto scan the TV only picks up 2 analog channels and 4 digital channels. I'm in Binghamton, New York and cable service provided by Time Warner.

I just purchased this tv on 9 Feb 2011. I am having the same problem as everyone else in this forum. My TV is hooked directly to the cable and my service provider is Cox in Northern Virginia. I've run the Auto Channel Selector function about a dozen times with no luck. All I get is a few analog channels and a digital one here or there. The Cox standard service has over 100 diffent digital channels. I know it isn't a cox cable problem. SOmething is amiss in the TV itself I would think. Any help would be gretaly appreciated.

Welcome to Community@Insignia™!

In this case, please try resetting the TV back to factory defaults (you will find the option at the Settings menu). Once the TV is restarted, you will be able to run the Setup Wizard again, in which you will need to select Home Mode and then Cable as TV source. At this point the TV will scan for channels and you should be able to get all the provided ones. 

If after these steps the issue persists, please contact our Support Line so an agent can assist you in getting this TV checked by a technician.
