I just purchased a NS-322Q-10A 1080p TV. When I hook up my cable directly to the TV I get a lot of channels and subchannels above 60. When I want to watch let's say channel 151, I need to somehow find that channel on my TV and then write it down so that I will know this for the future. This seems like a real pain to have to do this for the 600 odd digital channels I have available.
Isn't there a better way?? I can connect the cable to a provider box and then feed the signal, but the native signal straight from the cable is soooo much better on the TV.
Please help!!

Hello rick_in_ns,
Welcome to Community@Insignia™!
I'd suggest you to contact your cable provider in order to get the proper channels guide.

Thank you for your reply Gonzo.
However, the proper channels guide is not really an issue. When I connect to the cable box it displays all channels in the format of the guide.
Unfortunately, you gave me exactly the response I expected Insignia Support would - not completely relevant to my post. If you read it, you would have known that everything is fine through the cable box.
My post was looking for an answer to the TV side, where it saves the channels in channels - subchannel format. As far as I can tell, no provider in the industry (cable or satellite) share Insignia's enthusiasm for storing the channels in a technically correct representation of how the signals are sent. North America tends to work in whole number channels.
I want an answer that bridges the gap (if at all possible) between what Insignia reports vs. what providers report.
Thanks.

Hello rick_in_ns,
Correct me if i'm wrong but i guess the problemthat you are having is actually related to the Insignia TV not being able to storage the full amount of channel that your cable service provides you when you hook the line straight to the TV without using the box ?
I think that actually will provide you a better quality picture as you mentioned, in fact the less devices you have between the raw signal and the tv will bring a better, more pure signal .
The thing is that the TV will be able to save up to 120 channels in the internal memory, this is the reason why your cable service provides you with the cable box so you can actually recieve the full amount of channels.
My personal suggestion to improve the picture quality without eliminating the box will be to perform the connection from the cable box to the tv using a pair of RCA cables (the white, red and yellow conenctors) .
This is a way more stable connection and in this way you also get the video and audio trhough separated channels or cords.
I hope this is the answer you were looking for , if not please write me back and ill try my best to provide you with an accurate solution.
Regards,
Gonzo
