I have a NS-L322Q-10A tv and NS-RC02U-10A remote. I tried all the insignia codes listed in the manual for the tv, but none of them work. I tried doing the search and follow the instructions - press tv the set waited for 2 blinks then entered 9-9-1 but the led doesn't blink twice. I then pressed power and stared pressing channel up but it doesn't seem to work. Any help would be appreciated. I have a regular universal remote that works, but the insignia remote has all the buttons to adjust the picture.

Hi, I have an Insignia TV/DVD Combo with Model Number IS-TV040921.   I was wondering what the universal remote codes would be for 3 number universal remotes, or if there was a specific universal remote I should look into and what that code would be.

My Insignia 42" 720p Plasma TV: NS-42P650A11

I have tried numerous codes, including: 096, 450, 461 and 456, among a few others. Also, I have gone to my remote controls website and followed their general instructions for how to set up the TV to work with the universal remote as well as followed their "troubleshooting" instructions when the normal method/process does not work and neither of these were successful.

I am able to watch cable on my TV through the DVR usng the universal remote that came with the DVR, but I am not able to adjust the volume/mute the TV through the universal remote, nor am I able to turn the power on the TV itself on or off. I have to use the remote that came with my Insignia TV in order to adjust the volume/mute the TV and I also have to use it to turn the power on or off on the TV. 

Please help!!!!

If your TV is less than two years old, I would suggest contacting our support line as you can have a replacement remote ordered under warranty. If the TV is out of warranty then you can purchase a new remote for your TV here.

Hello Starper,

I would suggest using the code search feature of the remote by following these steps:

1. Turn on the TV.
2. Press and hold the "Sel" and "Mute" buttons on the remote until the power/mode buttons begin slowly lighting in rotation.
3. Press and hold the "CH+" button until the TV turns off.
4. Press the "Mute" button and one of two things will happen,

a) The TV will turn back on, in this case press "Sel" to lock the code.

b) If the TV does not turn back on, begin pressing the "CH-" button repeatedly until the TV turns back on, then press "Sel" to lock the code.

Yes I tried  the codes u said to try, still not able to operate my TV. But I now have a Philips-Magnavox  3-Device remote that partial allows me to change just the channels of my insignia Tv model#IS-TV o40919, but nothing else. So if u could help me with codes for a Philips-Magnavox DVD 3device remote model#CL015 to operate my insignia TV, model# IS-TV o40919  I would be thankful.

Most basic universal remote controls will only provide control for basic features of your TV, e.g., power, volume, and channel access. If you have found a code that provides any of these functions, then there is not another code we can provide. Generally, a higher-end universal remote control is required for accessing all features on a TV.

Hi there, I have a Sony DVD player model # DVP-SR500H and the remote model # RMT- D187A. I can't seem to get the Sony remote to control the volume or anything else on my insignia TV model # NS-37L760a12. Also, the quick guide states that the insignia remote can control any HDMI device that is connected to the TV, but it doesn't control my Sony DVD player, is there anything I need to do to correct this problem? Hello EG,

In order to control the DVD player with the Insignia remote when connected by HDMI, you will need to turn on INlink. To turn on this setting follow these steps:

1. Turn on the TV and the DVD player.
2. Press "Menu" button on the remote.
3. Select "Settings" then press "Enter".
4. Select "INlink" then press "Enter".
5. Select "INlink Control" press "Enter", select "On" then select "Enter" again.
6. Press "Exit" to close the menu.

Once INlink is turn on you should be able to have basic control of compatible HDMI devices.
