I have an NS-39D310NA17 720P 39" TV that I'm trying to use as a PC monitor so I don't have to sit two feet from the display all the time. I am running an HP ProDesk K1K25UT#ABA, and right now, all I have is a VGA-to-HDMI adapter -- I am running the VGA out from the computer, into the female end of the adapter, then plugging the HDMI into the TV. I have tried both HDMI 1 and HDMI 2 on the TV, but I only have the blue box saying "No Signal."
I have attempted to change the resolution in the settings to match the 720P capability. I have verified that it's running at 60 Hz on the desktop. And, I have tried two different adapters, so the problem is somewhere else. Ideas? I'm unfortunately running Windows 10, if it matters.

I suggest you try your cable with another monitor. Many monitors don't work well with a direct VGA to HDMI cable and require the cables to run through an interface box which properly converts the signal. Good luck.
