Insignia TV won't connect to Macbook Pro anymore

Hi, I have a 2011 13" Macbook Pro running OSX 10.8.1 and an Insignia TV, model NS-40L240A13.

I've had the TV for about 2 months, and I have been able to connect the TV and the Macbook Pro via an HDMI cable with absolutely no problems. Suddenly, today, when I connect them, the screen goes blue for a second on the computer, and goes back to normal as if there's no screen connected. A message that says "No Signal!" on the TV screen never changes, and the display is not detected under the Macbook Pro Settings. I am almost 100% positive that the problem is with the TV.

Things I have tried:

Using all 3 HDMI ports (no luck, still says "No Signal!").

Connecting other devices to the TV via the HDMI cables (HDMI cables all seem to work perfectly).

Restarting computer and turning On/Off the TV in every possible order.

What else can I do? Is there another way to reset the TV?

Hello Alex_Ander,

Are you using a Mini Displayport to HDMI adapter or does the laptop have an HDMI port?

I am using a Mini Displayport to HDMI adapter. It has been working perfectly for the last 2 months. The HDMI adapter portion works fine when I connect an iPhone or iPad (using it with an addtional addapter to fit the iPhone and iPad's 16 pin connector).

Hello Alex_Ander,

Have you made any major changes recently to the Macbook or has it had any major OS updates?
