Hello, Hopeing someone can help with an issue that just started today. I have a 42 in Insignia LCD model # NS-LCD37-09.
Today when I turned on the TV the input menu started to flash on and off of the screen at random times. Sometimes it stays up for a few minutes and other times it flashes quickly. Needless to say it is pretty annoying. The television is on a stand and has not been hit or jarred so I am at a loss as to why this is happening? Just looking for some advice on this before I resort to taking it in for some expensive fix. I purchased the TV in 09 & has worked perfectly up until today
any advice would be much appreciated.

I literally came here to look for this same issue -- or at least it sounds similar.
I have a 51" Insignia Plasma that I have only had for 3 days -- intermittently it will go black and the "Display" box will appear on the top left ("No Time Informatin - 1920x1080") and then after 1-2 seconds the picture will return. It has happened 10-12 times, and I noticed it has only happened while using my PS3 so I swapped HDMI ports with the cable TV input in case one of the HDMI ports were faulty -- no avail.
I've had a 42" Insignia LCD for 3 years and never had anything like this happen so I'm 99% positive it isn't my cables or devices.

Hello,
Welcome to Community@Insignia™!
More information would be helpful, so I have questions for you both:
hfrush: Please confirm the model number of your TV. You stated that the TV is 42", but gave the model number of a 37" TV. Also, in what viewing modes (e.g., cable/satellite, Blu-ray/DVD, gaming, etc.) does the problem occur. Do you use more than one remote control for your home theater system?
KnolanRyan: What is the model number of your TV?
If there is any additional information that you think would be useful for our research (more is better), please reply with that as well. I look forward to hearing from you.
Regards,
John

I'm sorry, it must have been mistaken about the size. It is a 37 inch because the model # I gave is correct. I have the cable line hooked directly into the television so the only time it is happening is when it is set to "TV". We only use one remote & that would be the one that came with the television. I at first thought that maybe the batteries were going bad in the remote so I removed them, but the problem continues to happen.

Hello hfrush,
It seems like you are experiencing hardware related issues with your TV and as a result I would suggest contacting our service line.
Hello knolanryan,
Since this is only occurring with the PS3, I would suggest resetting the video output settings on the PS3. This is done by turning the PS3 off, then holding the power button down until it beeps twice.

Mine actually stoped flashing a few days after it started. Strange. All though I have noticed that when i connect my laptop to the tv via the HDMI cable, the TV will no longer connect to the laptop.. it just says no signal, but my laptop knows it's connected to the TV. Waiting until I get my taxes back to take the tv in to have it looked at...

Hello juanitn,
I would suggest removing the batteries from your remote and see if the issue persists, as it could be that your remote is just sending out the input signal repeatedly. If the issue persist, I would suggest contacting our support line for assistance scheduling service.
