Yup thats the problem. The Component inputs seem to be a problem with these TV's there have been posts of users using Game console's,Cable boxes and Blu-ray/DVD on these Component inputs where the TV just shuts off Ramdomly.
And it Looks like INISIGNIA is not doing anything to fix the problem. I would you have your TV repaired or Return it and get somthing else because it looks like they are not going to address this issue Because they have not respoded to this Post. So keep this post alive and Maybe they will take Notice

I Purchased this TV on 1/28/2010 and it shuts off 2 Times in one day 2/6/2010 and My COX HD Box is in (Component) kind of sad that BBY and Insignia don't take response of these Issues. How hard is it to reply and put out a Firmware or something LOL but Tv is NICE but Tv shutting off Sucks.
Going to Return the Tv for Another.

i actually work at best buy and none of my associates know whats really wrong with the tv...so i figured i'd ask you.
i have the 46" 1080p 120hz tv. so when i watch tv (just basic cable) the tv is fine. it doesnt shut off at all. but when i play xbox, the tv will shut off every 15-30 minutes.
i have tried to adjust the sleep mode on the tv but that doesnt do anything. its already set to off.
PPPLLLLEEEAAASSSEEEE help!!

i have found that with DCM off and all other advanced options off it does it less or somtimes never. I think maybe this is a problem that can be fixed with a firmware upgrade we just have to wait until someone at insignia looks into this and tries to figure our what the problem is. and as far as i know it will only do it with the component inputs and nothing else .
INSIGNIA please look into this!

We are currently developing and testing a fix for this issue. I have not been provided with a timeframe however, so your continued patience is appreciated. As soon as I have additional details, I'll let you know.

So far this is the only time i've noticed it happening. When watching a movie with the Xbox the tv works fine. When using the xbox 360 with games it will randomly turn itself off. Most of the time it happens when the unit is idle for a short time. Other times it happens during gameplay which is incredibly frustrating. Right now we have the audio/video and HD cables hooked up. (No HDMI cable yet) I've only been able to find one of post like this, but no real solution offered. Has anyone else had this issue or found a fix for it? One person I read said they used an HDMI and the issue went away. This shouldn't even be needed. We spent good money on this TV to be able to use it, not want to chuck it out the window every time is turns off at a crucial point.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Insignia 42" LCD TV NS-L42Q120-10A. And yes I've made sure Sleepis off, and we have DCM turned off because it lags the games ^.^
