I have a 46" LCD TV that I connected to my Macbook using a VGA. It worked perfectly for the first few months, now all of a sudden the TV won't recognize VGA when I select input. I tried using a different computer and have the same problem, leading me to think it's the TV. I'm not sure why it would just stop recognizing it. Adjusting the resolution didn't correct the problem. Any suggestions?

Thanks John. Here is some additional information.
I have an Insignia-550 series, 46", 1080p, 120 Hz, LCD HDTV NS-46L550A11.
Aside from the laptop and TV the only other component included in my home theater is a DVD player (also Insignia) that connects by HDMI (but the VGA problem occurs whether the player is connected to the TV or not). There are no other components (I don't even have cable). I only use the TV for viewing DVDs (through HDMI) and connecting to my laptop (through VGA).
I'm trying to connect with my Macbook that runs OS X 10.5.8. I don't think I downloaded any updates recently, and like I said, the TV had no problem recognizing the VGA through this laptop for the first few months I had it. The problem started a few weeks ago. The TV just stopped recognizing VGA when I select input. The problem persists even when I connect the VGA to another laptop. When I plug the VGA (using a mini DVI adapter) to my Macbook, the Macbook seems to recognize the connection, leaving me to think the problem is with the TV. I've also tried manually changing the resolution.
Any thoughts on what might be wrong would be greatly appreciated.

Hello again district_matt,
Welcome to Community@Insignia™!
You don't mention if you've tried replacing your VGA cable. Please try that step to see if the cable might be the issue. Otherwise, you've tried the troubleshooting that we would have recommended (e.g., connecting another computer, changing the resolution, etc.) If a replacement cable doesn't resolve the problem, I recommend calling our Product Support team and working with them to arrange service for your TV. You may find contact information via the Service & Support link at the top of this page.

John
