NS-32L450A11 - Problems with 1080P through HDMI?

Let me start off by apologizing for this not being a legitimate problem, but just a simple question.

I'm considering buying this TV (NS-32L450A11), but after a quick search it seems that some people are having trouble with 1080P through HDMI -  Well, at least ~7 months ago they were.  I was just wondering, is this a common problem?  Is it fixed/fixable?  Are they any other problems with this set?  It will be primarily used for gaming and watching movies.

Also my GPU is a 4890 so it has HDMI, and supports 1920x1080.

Thank you for any help.

Re: NS-32L450A11 - Problems with 1080P through HDMI?

Hello Elijoh,

Welcome to Community@Insignia™!

Let me tell you that there was actually never an inconvenience in getting 1080p with HDMI. We should take into account that the source should work at 60 Hz, such as the TV does; and though the TV supports 1080p, the source has to be capable of working with 1080p as well.

Lets say that you are playing a Bluray player, your Player should be able to output 1080p, it should also be set to output 1080 through its menu, and, if the disc was not recorded in 1080p, the player should be doing an upscaling to output the signal in that resolution, what could cause a quality issue. In those cases, we recommend not to do an upscaling to get a more clear image.

The TV also gives you the option to select preset Picture and Audio settings, or to go manually through them; It has a USB for watching pictures or slideshows; you can program the TV to turn off or on automatically; allows you to label an Input source or channels; use Parental Control; CCD; and you can even lock the control buttons on the fron of the TV to avoid kids to press them while playing.

In general, it is a great TV! So, I encourage you to compare it with other Insignia or other TV  brands about its specifications. And if you have any question, you can contact our Support line any day of the week!

If it was useful, and you liked it, Kudo it!

Thank you,
