Hello,
My TV is experiencing a few glitches.
1. It does not accurately detect, or keep the aspect ratio from the TV input.
2. It does not auto-adjust the aspect ratio from component cable when playing DVDs (i.e. trailers and extras that are in 4x3 will play in 16x9 and must be manually adjusted to 4x3. When the movie starts playing, you have to again manually adjust it to 16x9).
3. Picture Options sometimes freezes up the TV, shuts it down, then it powers back up. This I have found changes some picture settings, such as the Color Tone. I have mine set to Cool, and it will randomly change it to another.
These are some of the glitches I have seen so far in the week and a half that I've owned the TV. When is a firmware update expected to fix these problems? The manufacture date of my set is April 2010. Thank you.

Hello louv68,
Welcome to Community@Inisgnia™!
Actually never heard about this issues on this TV. Please do a reset to factory default and after that an auto channel search again, see if this solves it (mostly the freezing part). About the aspect ratio, be sure you are setting the DVD player to the correct TV aspect ratio size since an incorrect setup will cause this kind of behavior.
If it persists, please contact our Geek Squad Repairs team so they can assist you further on this.
Thank you,

The lack of support for an obviously flawed product is disturbing. How about the courtesy of acknowledging the issues I've addressed; not on one, but two TV's? I've noticed that Options also sometimes revert back to Factory Settings, without even having gone into menus first. How did I notice this? By the picture looking obviously different from how I set it to my taste. I check the settings in Options, and low and belold, their back to the defaults. I believe one cause may be triggered from going from one input to another. Why should this affect the Contrast, Brightness, Color, Sharpness, etc to change? This is a current model TV that is not working correctly. What are you going to do about it? Wait till it's an outdated TV you no longer support?

Lack of Support is quite common from this company. My suggestion is to return the tv and demand a cash refund or a store credit before its too late and in your STUCK in the situation that I am in

I have this happen all the time. It happens when different menus intermittently, however I can ALWAYS "crash" the TV by trying to view the signal strength of a "scrambled" QAM channel.
Please fix this, and while you're at it incorporate the changes Samsung made to their firmware to reduce the buzzing sound.
Thanks!

I purchased this tv a couple of days ago and I am also having the exact same problem with changing menu options will randomly shut the TV down for a few seconds. I have already experienced it 4 or 5 times.

I'm experiencing similar problems. I can always "crash" the set by selecting Picture Options from the menu. I've also had it lock up in the menu. I hope somebody is working on a solution.....
