NS-46L550A11 - Ghosting / Blurred Image

We bought a NS-46L550A11 last weekend and have been plagued by blurred images every since that have us seriously considering returning it.  We have Verizon Fios connected to the TV by an HDMI cable.  While the picture itself can be very sharp, for certain movements, there is an afterimage trailing the movement.  This happens watching programs live, on DVR and On Demand.  When this happens, watching the program becomes next to impossible.

We've tried each of the picture settings and have tried the 120Hz motion at each level but the problem occurs on every setting. We also tried turning changed the advanced contrast settings with no luck fixing the issue.  The problem also occurs when we use an RGB connection instead of the HDMI.

Re: NS-46L550A11 - Ghosting / Blurred Image

Hello ViennaVA,

Welcome to Community@Insignia™!

First of all, let me apologize for the inconveniences that this may cause.

By gathering all the information that you provided, there is one possible set up that can be changed from the Verizon Box itself.

On the Box´s menu, check for any possible option to adjust the output resolution. If there is such an option remember to set it to output the "native resolution" of the signal incoming to the Box.

For example, if the signal is being broadcasted to you in 480p, the Box has to be set up in the same resolution. If you set it up to output more resolution than the native of the signal, you are applying video processing to the signal and may cause unexpected video issues.

Also, try connecting the Box to another TV to see if you still get the same picture issue or connect another device in the same way you connected the Box to our TV.

If you cannot adjust the picture after going through this troubleshooting, what I recommend you to do is to get in contact with our authorized service provider at 1-888- BESTBUY and refer to In-Home Service.

Remember that this TV has 2 years of warranty starting from the date of purchase. In order to validate the warranty you need the proof of purchase.

Let me know if this information was useful!

If it was useful, and you liked it, Kudo it!

Thank you,
Guille
