TV Model #: NS-L32X-10A
It seems as though the red light flashes when I turn it off, is this supposed to happen?
I never noticed before and it has me worried..
Especially because the TV occasionally won't power on properly.
I'll go to turn it on, the light changes from red to blue, however the screen does not light up nor do I get sound.
I can fix the issue by unplugging the TV and plugging it back in. After I do this it will power on normally, but I wonder if this is signs of something bad to come?
I never had this problem until I recently updated the firmware to the March 2010 one.
I bought this product "Open-Box" from Best Buy at the end of March, a little worried this might not be covered if it is indeed a hardware problem and not firmware related.
Regarding the update as well, it seems when a device is connected through a Game Input with Game Mode on, occasionally the bottom 8th of the screen does not refresh properly. It appears as though the screen is "torn."

I have this same problem. the exact same thing you just described, i turn the tv on and the light turns blue but nothing happens...just a black screen with no picture or sound. this happens ocassionally to me at completely random times and the fact that it happens at random times makes me think the tv has a defect. i can temporarily fix it by unplugging the power and waiting about a minute. Im not sure if this is something to worry about but the tv hasnt died on me yet and ive had it for 6 months

Oh and also when you said the screen seems "torn" at the bottom when in game mode I have also noticed that on my ps3. idk whats up with that but this whole tv is starting to worry me especially because the screen has really bad ghosting which is getting worse every day

Hello ZSMoore,
Welcome to Community@Inisgnia™!
It's normal for the TV's red light to blink a couple of times when you turn the TV off, but after that it should be steady. Regarding the TV not turning completely on, you may be experiencing a problem with the auto input sense, and turning it on on the incorrect input, so on the settings menu, disable that feature. Also you may reset the TV back to factory settings and install it once again.

Thanks Gonzalo,
I will try turning off auto input sensing, but when the tv doesnt power up properly the controls become Unresponsive and i am unable to turn it off and the only way to "fix" the tv is to unplug it and try again and hope it works the second time.

Hi John,
Here to provide some information about the power issue with the NS-L32X-10A.
The television after long periods of time, typically overnight, will occasionally fail to power on properly.
You press the power button, the Red LED changes to Blue, but no sound nor picture is displayed.
You can turn the TV off at this point and turn it on yet it still will not power fully on. To fix the issue you must unplug the power cord from the back of the TV and plug it back in. For a few moments all buttons on the TV will appear to be unresponsive. Once the buttons are responsive again, you can power the TV on and it will power all the way on as normal (though it seems to take a bit longer than usual).
Also, the newest firmware for the NS-32X-10A has a weird glitch.
When using Game Mode on a Game Input, the bottom part of the screen will appear "torn" at times. Almost as if the bottom 1/8th of the screen is not refreshing properly. Just a heads up.
Another user is experiencing both problems as I am in this thread:

Thanks for your help John.

Hello ZSMoore,
You may try resetting the TV back to factory defaults in case this is a settings issue, and that should solve the problem. If, you are using a battery buck up or surge protector, try connecting the TV straight to the wall, and check there are no loose connections. You may also try turning on the TV with nothing connected to it (just the antenna) to check the problem is not related to the devices connected. If after testing this you still have the same problem, you will need to contact Geek Squad Repairs to have a technician check the TV since it may be related to a hardware issue such as a problem with the back light.
Thank you,

Hi Gonzalo,
I tried turning off auto input sensing and it did Not fix the tv powering up inproperly. I saw your other post that said to connect the tv directly into the wall outlet so I gave it a try and i have had no luck.
So what happens is my tv will not power up correctly if it has been off for a couple of hours. I have a workaround (not a fix!) where i can unplug the tv and wait a couple of minutes then reconnect it and it will be okay (for a little while). I want to know how to fix the tv or else I have to return it for being a defective unit.

Hello all,
Actually this is not normal behavior for a TV, so if you already did the firmware update to no avail. My best advice will be to contact our Geek Squad Repairs team since we may be facing a hardware issue that cannot be solved this way, in which case they will need to take a look at the TV.
Thank you,
