NS-L47Q09-10A 47" Won't Turn On!

I just bought a 47" NS-L47Q09-10A from Best Buy yesterday, and when I got it home and plugged it in it wouldn't turn on.  I checked the troubleshooting section of the user guide which said to unplug it for 60 seconds then try again, and that worked.  However, when I went to turn it on again this morning (after being off all night) the same thing happened again.

 

It seems as though when the tv is off for more than a couple hours, I have to unplug it for a minute before it will power on.

 

Note that when I say it won't turn on, the light switches from red to blue, but the screen stays dark black (the screen doesn't change at all).  Even after 15 minutes, the light is still blue but no audio or video.

 

I have tried different power outlets and that doesn't make a difference.

 

Did I just get a bad tv, or is there somehing I'm missing?  Do I need to call Geek Squad?

It sounds like you have tried all of the troubleshooting steps we would recommend.  While I know from experience that it's frustrating to have any product not live up to expectations out of the box, we really want you to have a TV you'll enjoy.  If you wish, you may contact Geek Squad (800-433-5778) for service; there is a "quick service advantage" program that should get a technician to your home quite promptly.  Your other option, of course, is to return the TV to the retailer of purchase for an exchange.
