I had an NS-L46X-10A 120Hz TV that had a fantastic picture, regardless of the price-point. Unfortunately I had to return it due to severe A/V sync problems (Lip sync).
I see that Insignia has come out with a new 55" 120Hz TV (NS-L55X-10A) that I am interested in.
I am directing the following question to both the Insignia Staff on this forum, and anybody else who might have an answer:
Has the A/V sync problem been addressed/fixed in this new 55" model ?
And we thank you for your support.

Hello TravisBean,
It would be very helpful to know under what circumstances you were getting the audio/video sync issues on the L46X model. During what modes of playback (DVD/Blu-ray, broadcast TV, cable/satellite, gaming, etc.) did you have the problem? Was the problem intermittent or continuous? Any details you can provide will be helpful. Once we have more information, we'll be able to better address your question about the L55X (as well as the L46X).
We look forward to hearing from you.
Regards,
John

Hello TravisBean,
Actually, that lips sync error should have never occurred, most provably there was something wrong either with the connection (the HDMI cable should be a 1.3), or with the TV itself. However this new model has had further testing with multiple devices, such as players, gaming consoles and computers and no issue was detected.
Thank you,
Gonza

I would suggest doing 3 things to test where the problem is.
1-Turn off the surround sound and see if the TV speaker sound is syncing properly.
If it is, then more than likely the fault is not with the TV.
2-Hook up a DVD/BD player directly to the TV via HDMI and listen to the speaker sound from the TV.
If it is out of sync, then the TV is at fault. (which would not supprise me in the least, considering how may complaints there are about these LG manufactured Insignia sets)
3- If the TV is at fault, and you are still within your 30 day return period, I would not chance setting up a repair appointment. Return the set.

I'm having the same problems with my TV although I have blamed everything but the TV which has cost me alot of money. I have been streaming video from a laptop with audio sync issues and have replaced/returned two laptops. Gave up on this and purchased a Samsung Blueray Player with WIFI. Still having audio sync issues. By upconverting DVD player had the same problem before the replacement with the Samsung. I also have audio sync issues with the Blueray player without streaming. The player is hooked to the tv via HDMI and audio is sent to my Sony receiver which worked fine with my last tv via SPDIF. What adjustments can be made to improve the audio performance? I cannot stand out of sync audio. I read that adjusting the DCM to off may cure my problems but this was on a different tv model. What effects would turning the DCM have on my audio/video? Basically, looking for any ideas that could help. I do not have audio timing audjustments on my Sony receiver. What does the TV offer as it seems to be the root of my problems after narrowing everything else down. This is a constant problem....
Any help would be appreciated. By the way when I first turned my tv on the audio was up on the tv and I already had the audio out to the receiver/amp and it sounded like two different broadcasts playing. Should have known then that I had a problem. Wish I would have thought of that before buying and replacing laptops/players.

Returning the TV would be the best adjustment that you could make.

I have a 46" version 120Hz LCD. I have a lip sync issue with the tuner and it's on just one channel, the Fox affiliate I work for.
The audio leads the video by about 1/3 a second. Interestingly enough, when I hook my cable TV to the set and tune in the digital version of the same channel I also have a lip sync issue. If I watch the same channel via the cable box and the HDMI connection there is no problem.
Rescanning the channels did not help. Is there some "engineering" setting that I can try to reset my TV back to true factory defaults? I mean blow everything away an start from scratch. The "Reset to Default" in the Settings menu did not blow out the old channel configuration.
