This is so frustrating & discouraging to read. Two nights ago my husband tried ot turn up the volume using the buttons on the side of the tv. When he touched it, he got a shock & the tv shut off & wouldn't turn on again. Just as many others here have described. I just this summer replaced all our surge protectors with brand-new & good-quality units. A friend of ours who is very handy has offered to take a look at the fuse situation. But, basically, I'm guessing that we will soon be in the market for a new tv. I guess the lesson I learn from this is that if you buy cheap, you get cheap. But one would hope that a company would stand by their customers by acknowleging this problem, which is clearly not uncommon.

this is deplorable. clearly these TVs are defective.
a 3 year old TV shouldn't just stop turning out of the blue. there must be some recourse.

Looks like I got lucky that it lasted this long. But she is now dead. Same as everyone else is saying. No more insignia for this guy.
