The other day I turned the tv on (NS-LCD47HD-09) and the aspect ratio was narrow and wouldn't fill the screen unless I changed the aspect ratio to wide. This causes the picture quality to be less than optimal since it's zoomed in. My dish network box is setup correctly as 16:9 ratio but I can't get it to fill the screen in HD with normal aspect ratio. I've switched dish boxes with the one from my bedroom and it's the same thing. I've switched HDMI cables and still have the same issue. Don't know what else to try. Help!

Hello robpuryear,
Welcome to Community@Insignia™!
For what you are describing, I would think this is a setup/aspect ratio problem. There would be 2 things you must check on your satellite box, being: the TV setup and the Zoom. Check that the box is set for Wide (may also be listed as 16:9) TV, then, once that is done, turn off the box and on again. If the problem persists look for the Zoom button and set it to normal on both TV and box. The hard part will be that you will need to find the correct combination on both TV and Box regarding Zoom (keep in mind you must choose a show that would be broadcasted in wide while doing the setup). My advise is to set the TV to normal and try all the zoom options on your box, if you are not able to find the correct one, change then the TV to 16:9 and try again on the box, and repeat the procedure with all the options so you can try all the available combinations.
If you are still having issue, please contact your Dish Network provider or provide me with the Box model number so I can assist you further with more detail.
If it was useful, and you liked it, Kudo it!
Thank you,
Gonza
