NS-LDVD26Q-10A INPUT MENU KEEPS FLASHING

[ Edited ]

Insignia TV NSLDVD26Q=10A   1 1/2 years old. Still under warranty.  We've enjoyed the TV and been pleased, even considering buying another until recently.  On occasion we will connect a laptop w/ Windows 7 using an HDM1 cable to watch neflix.

The TV menu continually "pops up" after the TV has been on for about 10- 15 minutes.

Unplugging the TV, resetting to factory mode, removing batteries from remote & pressing each button on the remote worked for a couple of hours.

The problem occurs more frequently and for longer periods.

Certainly would appreciate any advice to resolve this problem.

Thanks {edited per Community Guidelines}

Re: NS-LDVD26Q-10A INPUT MENU KEEPS FLASHING

Hello Courtyartz,

Welcome to Community@Insignia™!

You've taken some of the steps we recommend for troubleshooting, but more details will help us assist you:

  • To which TV HDMI port have you connected your computer?
  • When you say "the TV menu continually 'pos up,'" which menu specifically? More details would be helpful.
  • Does the problem occur only when your computer is connected?
  • If the problem wasn't present until recently, what (if anything) has changed in your home theater set up?
  • Are you receiving any messages from the computer when the problem occurs?
The more information you can provide about the issue, the better we can help.

Regards,
John

Re: NS-LDVD26Q-10A INPUT MENU KEEPS FLASHING

John, thanks for your help, response to your questions:

The laptop was connected to the HDM1 input in the back of the TV.

The picture menu flashes rapidly alternating with the channel indicator in the upper right hand corner of the screen.

The flashing or pop-up occurs w/ the TV or streaming w/ the laptop, it occurrs even when the HDM1 cable is disconnected.

No changes that I'm aware of???

No message.

Thx CY

Re: NS-LDVD26Q-10A INPUT MENU KEEPS FLASHING

Hello CY,

Seems you already tried all the software troubleshooting to be done in this cases. At this point, and due to the nature of the issue you are experiencing, my best advise, as you are still under warranty, will be to have a technician check on the TV. Please contact our Support Line so one of our agents can advise you on how to obtain service under warranty.

If it was useful, and you liked it, Kudo it!

Thank you,
