I have the same problem with my 46 LCD 120 Hz 1080p NS- 46 L550a11 .   It seems like it is the TV.  Uverse swapped out two boxes and it did not fix the problem. Uverse said this is a known issue with uverse and insignia and I could not use the HDMI. So used component for 3 months until I got an Ipad.  When the Ipad movie did not play I called Geekssquad. Geek squad came out and swapped the hdmi "panel" or "board" on the Insignia TV. This fixed the Ipad movie issue. So I tried reconnecting the HDMI to the uverse and all the same problems happened again. The Recordings on the DVR do not always show, the Uverse box does not turn on, have to reset the box to turn on the uverse. But when connected via the component, no problems. In January I will call Geeksquad again and see. I would really like to use the HDMI to the UVerse box.  I may not purchase an Insignia for my next TV if this is not resolved.

I consulted our technical team and they have recommended that you proceed with scheduling service as you plan. Please know that we regret the inconvenience you face because of the repair situation.

 

I also asked about any known incompatabilities with U-verse and was informed that "HDMI is a fairly well regulated standard and as such we would not expect AT&T to be using something that could possibly be incompatible with our product."

Called Uverse on 1/7 Sat.  to have a tech come out to my house on 1/10. The uverse agent connected me with the Scheduler that day. 1/10  I took the day off and no one showed up. I called on 1/10 and the people who were supposed to come out (Precision TV) did not have the appt. They said I had to call Uverse and have themschedule another appt=take another day off.  Later that day Precision  TV called me and said there are two service numbers for my problms. One from the orginal that they came out 50966785 OCT31 and a new one 53122165. The old one states that I should have had my TV REPLACED. I am to call National Electric Warrenty 1-888-237-8289 and get a replacement. I called the number and it was BestBuy and they transfered me around to 3 people. No one knew what I was talking about. Called back Precision and they said to try again and ask for Insignia warr dept. I did and they did not know what I was talking about. So I called Insignia and they game me a Case no. {edited per Forum Guidelines} and siad they would call me back 3-5 busness days.

 

Note: 1. switching out the hdmi cables did not work. 2. connecting the dynex tv to the uverse via hdma works find. 

 

 

ALL I WANT IS FOR MY HDMI TO WORK WITH UVERSE.   

 

I will visit a few more blogs and see what I find and what I can note there.
