Having the same problem with Grandpa's 39 in. tv. He has had ity only 2 months. He wants to connect a wireless headset so he won't bother the neighbors with loud TV. Everything is grayed except the TV portion.

Did the reset the computer thing. Did nothing. Unplugged TV and waited. Got to watch a car towed off by police. Then plugged TV in 35 min. No change. Is there a patch to correct this problem that could be sent via email to me, then use USB flash drive to install on computer? Or take the TV back to Best Buy to get warranty work done. Grandpa lost the receipt but used card to pay so it should be covered, we hope.

Since your post was to a thread over a year old, we'd be grateful if you'd please confirm your TV model number! Also, what is the brand and model number of the headset you are trying to connect, and by what means are you attempting to connect it (e.g., headphone jack, composite, etc.)?

I've tried to change the input source by using the instructions , even unplugging the set and trying to reset the source to HDMI 1. nothing is working. It won't move off the TV setting. The set was purchased in 2011 and the cable company is switch over to a cable box.I don't have long before they do so. Please help. SandraLee

If you are trying to change inputs but it is not moving off of TV, that means you are not getting a signal on any other input. You have to make sure everything is connected correctly and turned on. That will allow a signal to get to the TV and allow you to change to that input.

Thank you for responding!
If you are trying to change inputs and the only option that is available is TV, then you are not getting a signal anywhere else. This troubleshooting is based on the fact that you mentioned HDMI, it may change depending on what you are connected to. You are going to have to double check all the connections to make sure they are correct and securely connected. Whatever device you are connecting needs to be turned on as well so that it is sending a signal out. Once your device is connected correctly and turned on it will send a signal, and then you will be able to change the TV input to that.
What device to you currently have connected to the TV? What type of cable is connecting that device to the TV?

I'm only connect to the cable nothing else. The cable com. wants us to hook now to a box which I didn't have prior. To hook to the box I must change from TV to HDMI, which I haven't been able to. I've turn off the tv and unpluged it, and still can't change it off TV. So are you suggesting I un hook it from the cable?
