Previously, it took about 30 seconds after choosing Netflix and selecting a movie for my TV to begin downloading the movie. Now it takes 2-3 minutes before the download beings. Any idea about why this is happening? I recently updated the firmware in my modem/router, which seems to have solved the "no network connection" problem I was having. The problem started after that.

By the way, I stream movies wirelessly via DSL at 7Mb/sec, but a speed test shows that I'm only getting 1.9Mb/sec. I think I need to contact my ISP or the router mfr.

My ISP told me that my DSL service is on a congested server, and that's why I'm not getting decent download speeds. The company is working on the problem; it will take several weeks to resolve. (I will be expecting a refund for the period that I'm not getting the speed I'm paying for.) I'm relieved to know my Insignia TV is not at fault.

Here's an update. I replaced my old modem, and that resolved the slow download problem. Now, Neflix loads quicker and movies download in 20 to 30 seconds. The modem I'm using is an Actiontec PK5000, which the DSL provider sells. I found it at Best Buy in the store for about $20 less and no shipping charge.
