I have my TV hooked up to a Comcast DVR and I'm not sure which one is causing this issue to be honest. The volume on my TV will randomly skyrocket to the point I worry it will anger my neighbors as I live in an apartment building. The main issue is that when it does this, it stays like that for anywhere from 10-30 seconds and during that time the TV and the cable box fail to respond to any buttons that I push, power buttons, volume buttons, I've tried them all with both of my TV remote and my Comcast remote. It doesn't happen very often but it's not something I want happening at all because I don't want to disturb my neighbors and it's just plain annoying for me as well. The TV is connected to the cable box with either a component or a composite cable, I'm not sure which. I had one cable box die on me but this problem has occurred with both cable boxes. Anyone have any ideas what's going on here and what can be done about it?
