When watching movies on my LCD tv it looks like a cheap film or home video

I bought a 42" LCD 1080p, 120Hz tv and for the most part the picture is great, but when watching movies, the way the camera moves at times looks like I'm watching a cheap soap opera or a home video rather than a hollywood film production... what is that all about???

When watching movies, turn the DCM feature to low or off, whatever looks best to you. For sports, try taking the DCM back up to med or high.

Re: When watching movies on my LCD tv it looks like a cheap film or home video

I just bought a 46" Insignia 1080p 120 Hz LCD TV and am experiencing the exact same problem when I try to watch a DVD.  I've tried the DCM at every setting including low and off, and none of them solve the problem.  (FWIW, turning the DCM off did fix lag problems I had with my Wii, but it isn't helping with the DVD player.)  Is there another solution?

Hello tj & XrdsBass,

Welcome to Community@Insignia™!

We'll be happy to look into this concern if you'll please reply with your TV model numbers!  Also, please provide as much detail about the problem as you can, including how your DVD/Blu-ray players are connected, whether the problem is intermittent or constant, and if it occurs in all viewing modes (DVD/Blu-ray, cable/satellite, broadcast TV, gaming, etc.).  The more information we have, the better we can assist.

Regards,
John
