White screens look grey

I just bought the 50" 1080p plasma hdtv and when the screen is all white it looks grey. Is there any way to brighten it or is that common in plasmas? I adjusted the brightness and it didn't help, can any one help me?

Re: White screens look grey

Hello JoeJenkinz,

White screen should look white, however take into account that the perception of the colors may vary from eye to eye an will be influenced by the room's light. My best advise is to reset the TV back to factory defaults, see if this solves the issue, if not, just contact our Geek Squad Department so a technician can go to your home and check if this is a TV's issue or it's normal.
